Today’s TB sensitization program in Gwagwalada market and Kukwaba (Kubwa) community in Bwari area council is part of the lined up activities to commemorate 2026 World TB Day and ongoing efforts to combat tuberculosis in the FCT.
The initiative aimed to educate the public about TB symptoms, prevention, and treatment, with a focus on reducing stigma and increasing early detection.
In Gwagwalada market, community members were sensitized on the importance of seeking medical attention if symptoms persist, while in Kukwaba (Kubwa) community, residents were encouraged to prioritize personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness to prevent the spread of TB and other diseases.
Additionally, the community sensitization program will run through to the 30th of March across other area councils in the FCT.
