SCREENING AND CERTIFICATION OF FOOD VENDORS/ HANDLERS

As part of the statutory role of the FCT Public Health Department to conduct regular screening and certification of food vendors/ handlers in the hospitality industries and other food establishment to ensure food safety. The Public Health Department in collaboration with the Home- Grown School feeding programme (HGSFP) and Primary Health Care Development Board (PHCDB) has embarked on screening exercises for about 800 food handlers of public primary school pupils across the six the area Councils in the FCT. The exercise commenced with Kwali area council on the 17/2/2025 and will run through 27/2/2025.
