SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN ON LASSA FEVER
The FCT Public Health Department’s Health Promotion and Education Division earlier today embarked on an advocacy and sensitization campaign on Lassa Fever in offices around its environment. The Secondary Education Board, The Pension Board, and the FCT Waterboard were among the offices visited to create awareness.
This initiative aims to educate staff on the disease, its prevention, and control measures, following recent suspected cases in the FCT. The team provided valuable information on symptoms, transmission routes, and preventive strategies, promoting a healthy and safe community.
Additionally, the team will be visiting communities and marketplaces for continuous sensitization throughout this season.
